Dear Campus Administrators,
For the past several months we have been working on a major software update for AURA Grants. We have scheduled this upgrade for Labor Day weekend as the upgrade will take at least 2 days plus a full day for stabilization.
We would like to take AURA Grants off line at NOON on Friday, September 2, as long as all System-to-System submission have been successfully submitted. We will be monitoring the submissions and coordinating with the URA Proposal Managers and local Departmental Administrators.
Although no new functionality will be implemented, the system itself has a few changes.
- Setting Budget Period Dates will require that each Budget Period be contiguous. This will also alleviate some issues we’ve seen in the budget grids. If you need to delete an existing budget period, you must start with the furthest outgoing period.
- Budget Grids have a slightly new look and allow one to add multiple rows at a time. Based on our testing, there is no limit the number of personnel that can be added.
We will convert existing Funding Proposals that are in Pending and Active states to the new budget grids during the Labor Day weekend. After the upgrade, each night for the next few weeks, we will upgrade Funding Proposals that are in Closed or Sponsored Declined states.
During this time, if any FP that has not been converted is needed, the system will automatically upgrade the FP. This may take up to 30 seconds, depending on the size of the record.
If you have any questions, please let Aaron or me know.
