We are proud to announce the launch of AURA COI-COC on September 4, 2012.
The University continues to work towards establishing a comprehensive electronic research administration system. The system being used at the University of Chicago is AURA (Automating University-wide Research Administration). AURA-Grants was the first AURA module implemented and shortly after, AURA-IRB was launched.
AURA’s next module, AURA COI-COC, is scheduled to launch on September 4, 2012 and will replace our previous COI system. AURA COI-COC will capture the information required by the revised Federal Guidelines that go into effect August 24th. This new reporting system will also coincide with the announcement of the revised University of Chicago Policy on Conflict of Interest and Conflict of Commitment for Faculty and Other Academic Appointments. The Policy has recently been revised to comply with new federal regulations and guidelines that go into effect August 24, 2012.
AURA-COI has the following benefits:
- Easy, on-line reporting
- Prompts so that you can report completely
- Summary of your reporting
- Ability to modify and change your disclosure at any time
- Retention of the information from year to year so that you can make simple editing changes, rather than re-entering everything year after year
